Delhi International Airport to set up 5.7 MW solar power plant

Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) is setting up a 5.7 MW solar power plant and has awarded the contract to Enerparc Energy to perform O&M services over ten years at T3 terminal. It may be noted, Enerparc’s has already doing the O&M for 2.1MW solar installation for DIAL near the runway, which was commissioned in January 2014. The new project will be spread over 10 hectares. The news comes after Cochin International Airport in Kerala was pronounced as the world’s first fully solar powered airport in August, with the installation of a 12MW plant at a cost of INR620 million (US$9.5 million) by Bosch’s energy and building solutions team.
