Badarpur power plant to be shut down

Delhi government is pulling out the final plugs of the Badarpur thermal power plant in the state. The power plant is in operation for long and is the oldest power station. It is operating only 2 units of the power plant which has a total capacity of 705 MW.

Now, a sub-station at Tughlaqabad will help to deliver the needed power from other source. The plant which is maintained and operated by NTPC has been forced to shut down due to orders from Supreme Court. Finally, the plant will be closed by October 15 of this year.
