Delhi plans two solar power plants in Najafgarh and Ferozepur

South Delhi Municipal Corporation and Solar Energy Corp of India Ltd is planning to develop two solar power projects in the capital city. The corp has allotted 105 acres of land at Ghuman Hera near Najafgarh in Delhi. It will house a 25 MW solar power plant. In Ferozepur, the corp has allotted 9.45 acres of land and a 2.5 MW of solar power plant is being planned.

The company has signed an MoU with SECI in December 2018. The project may go operational by 2020. The total investment for both projects is expected at ₹ 1650 million ( ₹ 1450 million for Ghuman Hera and ₹ 200 million for Ferozepur project )
